HB516 Alabama 2012 Session
Bill Summary
Under existing law, the Comptroller is required to adopt policies providing for state employee salary deductions to appropriate companies, associations, or organizations, when the deduction is requested by a group of 200 or more state employees.
This bill would authorize the Comptroller to approve the offering of group insurance products by insurance carriers that have been approved under existing law.
To amend Section 36-1-4.3, Code of Alabama 1975, relating to salary deductions by state employees for dues, contributions, and premiums; to authorize the Comptroller to approve the offering of group insurance products by insurance carriers that have been approved under existing law.
