Description
<p class="bill_description"> Under existing law, one percent of the gross
amount collected on the $.10 on each $100 of the
assessed value of taxable property for the relief
of needy Confederate soldiers and sailors, resident
citizens of the state and their widows, is expended
by the Alabama Historical Commission for capital
improvements and maintenance at Confederate
Memorial Park at Mountain Creek, Chilton County</p><p class="bill_description">
This bill would provide for the entire one
percent gross amount collected on the $.10 on each
$100 of the assessed value of taxable property to
be allocated to the Alabama Historical Commission
to be expended on certain properties</p><p class="bill_entitled_an_act"> To amend Section 40-8-3, Code of Alabama 1975,
relating to the allocation of certain proceeds of a state ad
valorem tax to the Alabama Historical Commission for the
Confederate Memorial Park at Mountain Creek; to provide for
the entire allocation to be allocated to the Alabama
Historical Commission to be expended on certain properties.
