Title
Barbour Co., county board of education, School Tax District No. 1, ad valorem tax, increased, distrib. for education, referendum
Description
Relating to Barbour County, and particularly the Barbour County Board of Education School Tax District No. 1 in the county; providing for an increase of the district ad valorem school tax by four mills, all in accordance with Amendment No. 373 to the Alabama Constitution; the increased tax to be levied and collected in the School Tax District No. or each year beginning with the levy for the tax year October 1, 2012 to September 30, 2013 (the tax for which year will be due and payable October 1, 2013) and ending with the levy for the tax year October 1, 2042 to September 30, 2043 (the tax for which year will be due and payable October 1, 2043) for public school purposes in the School Tax District No. 1; provided that the increased rate of the tax, the time it is to continue, and the purpose thereof shall have been first submitted to the vote of the qualified electors of School Tax District No. 1 in Barbour County at an election called and held in accordance with the applicable laws governing elections.
