Title
Driver's Licenses, veterans, proof of eligibility by submitting Record and Report of Separation Honorable Discharge Record, Sec. 32-6-1.2 am'd.
Description

Under existing law, a veteran who is a resident of the state and is honorably discharged as evidenced by a DD Form 214 is eligible to receive a driver's license with the term veteran displayed on the license

This bill would provide that where the veteran does not have the DD Form 214, the veteran could submit a Veteran's Record and Report of Separation Honorable Discharge Record in order to meet the eligibility requirements for a veteran's driver's license

To amend Section 32-6-1.2, Code of Alabama 1975, relating to veteran's driver's licenses; to provide that certain veterans may submit the veteran's Record and Report of Separation Honorable Discharge Record to prove eligibility.
