Under existing law, if a legal holiday falls on a day a county board of registrars is to be in session, and the courthouse of the county is closed for the holiday, the members of the board are compensated for the holiday.

This bill would also require the members of a board of registrars to be compensated for those days when the county commission closes county government due to any event affecting public health or safety.
