Title
Resisting arrest, arrest only if perpetrator is concurrently arrested for a separate unrelated crime, Sec. 13A-10-41 am'd.
Description
<p class="bill_description"> Under existing law, a person commits the
crime of resisting arrest if he or she
intentionally prevents or attempts to prevent the
lawful arrest of himself or herself or of another
person</p><p class="bill_description">
This bill would prohibit the arrest of a
person for the crime of resisting arrest unless the
law enforcement officer is concurrently arresting
the person for a separate, unrelated crime</p><p class="bill_entitled_an_act"> Relating to the crime of resisting arrest; to amend
Section 13A-10-41, Code of Alabama 1975, to prohibit the
arrest of a person for the crime of resisting arrest unless
the law enforcement officer is concurrently arresting the
person for a separate, unrelated crime.
