Title
Medicaid, liens and claims against recipient and recipient's estate authorized
Description

Under existing federal law, the state Medicaid Agency may establish procedures by which the agency may recover the amount of medical assistance payments made to a recipient by placing a lien on the real or personal property of the recipient or by filing a claim against the estate of a recipient.

This bill would establish procedures by which the state Medicaid Agency could place a lien on the real or personal property of a recipient or file a claim against the estate of a deceased recipient.
