- Title
- Class 1 municipalities, public K-12 schools in prohibited from denying participation in athletics based on student's transfer status
- Description
This bill would provide that in a Class municipality, a student who transfers from one public K-12 school to another shall be enrolled in classes and may participate in activities, including athletic activities, in the same manner as all other students.
This bill would also prohibit public K-12 schools in a Class 1 municipality from denying, or from being a member of any athletic association that denies, a student's participation in an athletic activity based on when he or she transferred to that school.
