HB125 extends the Alabama State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners' existence and duties through October 1, 2027 under the Sunset Law.
The bill continues the Alabama State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners until October 1, 2027. It preserves the board and the related statutes (sections 34-29-60 to 34-29-135) so the board can continue licensing veterinarians and regulating veterinary practice. The Legislature agrees with the Sunset Committee two-part recommendation and sets an effective date of June 1, 2025.
