Senate Healthcare Hearing
Room 304 at 12:00:00

HB194 changes the Joint Committee that oversees collaborative practice between doctors and advanced practice nurses by adding more CRNP and CNM representation, increasing member per diems, and outlining how board rejections of committee recommendations would work.
It changes the Joint Committee’s membership to include two certified registered nurse practitioners and one certified nurse midwife who are in active collaborative practice. It increases the per diem for committee members to $100 per day plus eligible travel/subsistence expenses. It establishes procedures for how either the State Board of Medical Examiners or the State Board of Nursing can reject a recommendation from the Joint Committee. The act becomes effective October 1, 2025.
