SB210 would remove attendance-based graduation requirements from chiropractic board membership and licensure, updating the code language with an effective date of October 1, 2026.
For the Board of Chiropractic Examiners, it eliminates the rule that a member's school must have required actual attendance to graduate. For licensure, it removes the requirement that schools teach only attendance courses and require a four-year college degree, allowing graduates from a broader range of accredited chiropractic programs to qualify, while maintaining other core requirements such as bachelor’s (or equivalent) degree rules for grads after 2010. The bill also keeps existing safeguards (residency, good moral character, background checks) and adds nonsubstantive technical updates to current style.
