Title
Engineers and Land Surveyors, State Board of Licensure for Professional, appointees to board required to be licensed as either an engineer or a land surveyor, but not both, Sec. 34-11-31 am'd.
Description
<p class="bill_description"> Under existing law, the State Board of
Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land
Surveyors consists of five professional engineers
and two professional land surveyors</p><p class="bill_description">
This bill would clarify that only a licensed
professional engineer or a licensed professional
land surveyor, who exclusively holds an unexpired
certificate to practice as a licensed professional
engineer or an unexpired certificate to practice as
a licensed professional land surveyor,
respectively, may be appointed to the board</p><p class="bill_entitled_an_act"> To amend Section 34-11-31, Code of Alabama 1975,
relating to the State Board of Licensure for Professional
Engineers and Land Surveyors, to clarify the requirement that
a nominee for service on the board exclusively hold either an
unexpired certificate to practice as a licensed professional
engineer or an unexpired license to practice as a professional
land surveyor.
