Title
Engineers and Land Surveyors, State Board of Licensure for Professional, appointees to board required to be licensed as either an engineer or a land surveyor, but not both, Sec. 34-11-31 am'd.
Description

Under existing law, the State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors consists of five professional engineers and two professional land surveyors

This bill would clarify that only a licensed professional engineer or a licensed professional land surveyor, who exclusively holds an unexpired certificate to practice as a licensed professional engineer or an unexpired certificate to practice as a licensed professional land surveyor, respectively, may be appointed to the board

To amend Section 34-11-31, Code of Alabama 1975, relating to the State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, to clarify the requirement that a nominee for service on the board exclusively hold either an unexpired certificate to practice as a licensed professional engineer or an unexpired license to practice as a professional land surveyor.
