Title
Legislators' compensation, if Education Trust Fund or General Fund is placed in proration, legislative expense allowances and appropriations made to State Executive Commission on Community Services Grants, to be reduced by the proration percentage amount
Description

This bill would provide that if the Education Trust Fund or the General Fund, or both, are placed in proration, the legislative expense allowance paid to members and the presiding officers of the Legislature would be reduced by the percentage of proration declared

This bill would provide that if the Education Trust Fund or the General Fund, or both, are placed in proration, the appropriations made by the Legislature to the State Executive Commission on Community Services Grants would be reduced by the percentage of proration declared

The bill would provide that if both funds are placed in proration, the reduction percentage amount would be the higher amount declared

The bill would provide that the reduction would continue for the duration of the proration period, that the reduction amount would be adjusted as the proration percentage is adjusted, and that these requirements would be implemented by the state Comptroller

Relating to legislative per diem and expenses; providing that if the Education Trust Fund or the General Fund, or both, are placed on proration, the legislative expense allowance paid to members and the presiding officers of the Legislature and the appropriations made by the Legislature to the State Executive Commission on Community Services Grants would be reduced by the percentage of proration declared.
