Title

Description
<p class="bill_description"> This bill would amend the Alabama Athletic
Trainers Licensure Act to delete the title
"Apprentice Athletic Trainer" and replace it with
"Athletic Training Student" and to further expand
certain definitions</p><p class="bill_description">
This bill would delete the staggered
expiration dates for the initial appointments to
the board of athletic trainers that are currently
obsolete</p><p class="bill_description">
This bill would allow a person involved in
an approved athletic training education program to
serve as an athletic training student</p><p class="bill_description"> This bill would also expand the therapeutic
treatments an athletic trainer may use</p><p class="bill_description">
This bill would also make it unlawful for a
person to provide athletic training service or
represent themselves to be an athletic trainer
without a license</p><p class="bill_entitled_an_act"> To amend Sections 34-40-2, 34-40-3, 34-40-4,
34-40-5, as amended by Act 2009-41, 2009 Regular Session (Acts
2009, p. 140), 34-40-6, 34-40-9, 34-40-10, 34-40-11, 34-40-13,
34-40-14, and 34-40-15, Code of Alabama 1975; relating to the
Alabama Athletic Trainers Licensure Act; to delete the title
"apprentice athletic trainer" and replace it with "athletic
training student"; and to expand further certain definitions;
to delete obsolete dates; to allow a person enrolled in an
approved athletic training program to serve as an athletic
training student; to expand therapeutic treatments an athletic
trainer may use; to make it unlawful to provide athletic
training services without a license; and to repeal Sections
34-40-7 and 34-40-16, Code of Alabama 1975.
