Physical Therapy, Board of, eligibility requirements, Sec. 34-24-192 am'd.; Act 2009-27, 2009 Reg. Sess.
Description

Under existing law, a practicing physical therapist, or a physical therapist assistant, who has had a disciplinary action within the three years preceding his or her appointment would not be disqualified from serving on the Board of Physical Therapy

This bill would provide that to be eligible for appointment to the Board of Physical Therapy a person, in addition to being a practicing physical therapist or acting as a physical therapist assistant within the State of Alabama, shall not have had any disciplinary action within the three years preceding his or her appointment

To amend Section 34-24-192 of the Code of Alabama 1975, as amended by Act 2009-27, 2009 Regular Session (Acts 2009, p. ), relating to the Board of Physical Therapy to provide that to be eligible for appointment to the board, a person, in addition to being a practicing physical therapist or acting as a physical therapist assistant within the State of Alabama, shall not have had any disciplinary action within the three years preceding his or her appointment.
