Physical Therapy, Board of, eligibility requirements, Sec. 34-24-192 am'd.; Act 2009-27, 2009 Reg. Sess.
Description
<p class="bill_description"> Under existing law, a practicing physical
therapist, or a physical therapist assistant, who
has had a disciplinary action within the three
years preceding his or her appointment would not be
disqualified from serving on the Board of Physical
Therapy</p><p class="bill_description">
This bill would provide that to be eligible
for appointment to the Board of Physical Therapy a
person, in addition to being a practicing physical
therapist or acting as a physical therapist
assistant within the State of Alabama, shall not
have had any disciplinary action within the three
years preceding his or her appointment</p><p class="bill_entitled_an_act"> To amend Section 34-24-192 of the Code of Alabama
1975, as amended by Act 2009-27, 2009 Regular Session (Acts
2009, p. ), relating to the Board of Physical Therapy to
provide that to be eligible for appointment to the board, a
person, in addition to being a practicing physical therapist
or acting as a physical therapist assistant within the State
of Alabama, shall not have had any disciplinary action within
the three years preceding his or her appointment.
