Title: Physical Therapy, Board of, eligibility requirements, Sec. 34-24-192 am'd.; Act 2009-27, 2009 Reg. Sess.
Description: Under existing law, a practicing physical therapist, or a physical therapist assistant, who has had a disciplinary action within the three years preceding his or her appointment would not be disqualified from serving on the Board of Physical Therapy.
This bill would provide that to be eligible for appointment to the Board of Physical Therapy a person, in addition to being a practicing physical therapist or acting as a physical therapist assistant within the State of Alabama, shall not have had any disciplinary action within the three years preceding his or her appointment.
