Title
State parks, State Park Revolving Fund, separate operating fund for each park, established, percentage of gross revenues from each park deposited into fund annually, expenditure of local park funds determined by board comprised of park manager, citizen appointed by legislative delegation, and member of legislative delegation, Sec. 9-2-107 am'd.
Description

Under existing law, moneys earned by the state parks through entrance fees, rentals, lodging fees, and recreational fees go into a general operating fund for the entire state parks division of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Under existing law, the department is responsible for the administration of the general operating fund.

This bill would create a separate fund for each state park.

This bill would provide that two percent of the gross revenue of each state park would be deposited into separate funds in the State Treasury and earmarked for use by the park where the revenues were generated.

This bill would create a local board that would determine how the revenue would be spent.
