Allows the State School Superintendent to approve redirecting Other Current Expense funds from pass-through calculations to local Child Nutrition Programs, with a reserve requirement and protections for CN workers.
Gives the State School Superintendent authority to approve the redirect of Other Current Expense funds designated for pass-through calculations to local Child Nutrition Programs for other uses allowed by state law or State Board rules. Redirected funds must not prevent the local CN program from maintaining a two-month operating reserve for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2011. No contract or contracted salary of a Child Nutrition Program worker may be reduced because of this act. The act takes effect immediately upon the governor's approval.
