HB604 authorizes the Macon County Commission to determine and collect business license fees for Macon County in the same way as municipalities in the county. It prohibits Macon County from levying certain privileged or license taxes described in state law. Any new fees established under this act would be collected by the County Commission and deposited into the county general fund. The act also repeals conflicting laws and becomes effective on the first day of the third month after the Governor signs it (or after it becomes law).
