Description

Under current law, the State Purchasing Division of the Department of Finance is not required to maintain a statewide database of each request for a bid or proposal for a public contract by the State of Alabama, a political subdivision, an agency, board, commission, or department of the state, the State Board of Education, a public college or trade school, or a public university.

This bill would require the State Purchasing Division of the Department of Finance to maintain a statewide database for each request for a bid or proposal by the State of Alabama, a political subdivision, an agency, board, commission, or department of the state, the State Board of Education, a public college or trade school, or a public university for public contracts.
