Title
Motor Vehicles, "Heart of Dixie" replaced with "State of Champions", authorized on certain license plates, Sec. 32-6-54, 32-6-54.1 am'd
Description
<p class="bill_description"> Under existing law, motor vehicle license
tags issued by the state are generally required to
have a heart and the words "Heart of Dixie"
imprinted on the tag. Organizations sponsoring a
personalized, distinctive, or vanity license tag
may request the Department of Revenue not to place
the words "Heart of Dixie" on the organization's
tag</p><p class="bill_description">
This bill would replace the heart and words
"Heart of Dixie" with "State of Champions" on motor
vehicle license tags issued by the state</p><p class="bill_entitled_an_act"> To amend Sections 32-6-54 and 32-6-54.1, Code of
Alabama 1975, to replace the heart and words "Heart of Dixie"
with "State of Champions" on certain motor vehicle license
tags issued by the state.
