Code of Alabama 1975, Acts of 2010 First Special Session and 2011 Regular Session as contained in 2011 supplements and replacement volumes, codified with certain corrections, local laws of certain counties codified, duties of Secretary of State, Secs. 17-14-70, 22-9A-13 am'd
Description

Under existing laws, the general and permanent laws of the State of Alabama enacted subsequent to the adoption and enactment of the Code of Alabama 1975, including acts of the 1976 Regular Session of the Legislature through the 2010 Regular Session as contained in the respective annual cumulative supplements and Replacement Volumes to the Code, have been adopted and incorporated in a continuous and systematic manner into the Code of Alabama 1975.

This bill would adopt and incorporate into the Code of Alabama 1975, those general and permanent laws of the state enacted during the 2010 First Special Session and the 2011 Regular Session as contained in the 2011 Cumulative Supplement to certain volumes of the code and 2011 Replacement Volumes 12A, 17, 21, and 21A.

This bill would initially adopt and incorporate into the Code of Alabama 1975, 2011 Volume 22F (Local Laws Dale to Escambia Counties) and would adopt and incorporate into the Code of Alabama 1975, the 2011 supplements to local law volumes.

This bill would make a typographical correction to subsection (a) of Section 17-14-70, found on pages 74 and 75 of the 2011 Cumulative Supplement to Volume 13A, relating to congressional districts, and an effective date translation correction to subdivision (3) of subsection (b) or Section 22-9A-13, found on page 49 of the 2011 Cumulative Supplement to Volume 14A, relating to reports of fetal death.

This bill would specify that this adoption and incorporation constitutes a continuous systematic codification of the entire Code of Alabama 1975, and would expressly provide that this act does not affect other 2012 session statutes.

This bill would also specify the duties of the Secretary of State regarding the custody of these cumulative supplements, replacement volumes, and initial volume.
