Title
Class 2 municipality, one-call notification system for excavation or digging, exempt, Sec.37-15-2 am'd
Description
<p class="bill_description"> Under existing law, a person excavating on
property is required to notify the "one-call
notification system" before digging on the
property. The State Department of Transportation,
any county, and excavations by railroads are exempt
from this law</p><p class="bill_description">
This bill would exempt any Class
municipality from the law</p><p class="bill_entitled_an_act"> Relating to Class 2 municipalities; to amend Section
37-15-2, Code of Alabama 1975, relating to the one-call
notification system; to provide that the provisions of this
law would not apply to any Class 2 municipality or its
officials, employees, agents, or representatives.
</p>
