Description

Under existing law, bingo is authorized in certain counties or cities pursuant to a local constitutional amendment in that county or city authorizing bingo to be conducted by or on behalf of a nonprofit organization.

This bill proposes an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, to repeal Amendments 386 and 600 in Jefferson County, Amendment 387 in Madison County, Amendment 413 in Montgomery County, Amendment 440 in Mobile County, Amendment 506 in Etowah County, Amendment 508 in Calhoun County, Amendment 542 in St. Clair County, Amendment 549 in Walker County, Amendment 550 in the City of Jasper, Amendment 565 in Covington County, Amendment 569 in Houston County, Amendment 599 in Morgan County, Amendment 612 in Russell County, Amendment 674 in Lowndes County, Amendment 692 in Limestone County, 743 in Greene County, and Amendments 732 and 744 in Macon County, authorizing bingo to be conducted by or on behalf of nonprofit organizations.
