Bill Summary
This bill would require a state or education employee who has developed an invention, product, process, idea, concept, procedure, innovation, or works of authorship and their associated materials within the scope of his or her employment to share patent proceeds with his or her state agency or education institution.
This bill would require the proceeds of the state agency to be deposited in the State General Fund and would require the proceeds of the education institution to be deposited in the Education Trust Fund.
To require a state or education employee to share his or her patent proceeds with his or her state agency or education institution; and to provide for distribution of the proceeds.
