SB396 provides supplemental State General Fund money for FY 2012 to fund the Department of Corrections and to compensate Bridget Lee for wrongful incarceration.
It adds 45,337,814 from the State General Fund to the Alabama Department of Corrections for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2012. It also adds 118,768 from the State General Fund to Bridget Lee for wrongful incarceration, as determined by the Committee on Compensation for Wrongful Incarceration, and this amount is not subject to proration. The act becomes effective immediately upon passage.
