This bill would propose an amendment to Amendment 629 to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, now appearing as Section 7, Local Amendments, Calhoun County, Official Recompilation of the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, as amended, relating to Calhoun County officials participating in the Employees' Retirement System; to allow county officials serving on the ratification date of the amendment to Amendment 629 to forego supernumerary status and join the Employees' Retirement System and purchase prior service credit for a one-year period.
