- Alcoholic beverages, higher content beers sold in other than original container must have alcoholic content
- Description
Under existing law, establishments that sell beer, lager beer, ale, porter, malt or brewed beverages, or similar fermented malt liquor containing not in excess of thirteen and nine-tenths percent of alcohol by volume for on-premises consumption in a container other than the original container are not required to inform its customers of the alcoholic content of the beverage.
This bill would require each establishment that sells beer, lager beer, ale, porter, malt or brewed beverages, or similar fermented malt liquor containing not in excess of thirteen and nine-tenths percent of alcohol by volume for on-premises consumption in a container other than the original container shall provide information to its customers of the alcoholic content of the beverage.
This bill would authorize the Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board to promulgate necessary rules to implement this section and to accomplish its intent.
