Bill Summary
Under existing law, a public authority incorporated pursuant to Chapter 92B of Title 11, Code of Alabama 1975, authorizing the formation of authorities for the development of formed property that formerly comprised a federal military installation, is subject to the competitive bid law in Article 3, Chapter 16 of Title 41, Code of Alabama 1975
This bill would exempt a public authority formed pursuant to Chapter 92B from this competitive bid law
Relating to public authorities formed pursuant to Chapter 92B of Title 11, Code of Alabama 1975, for the development of former federal military installations; to amend Section 11-92B-24, Code of Alabama 1975, to exempt a public authority formed pursuant to this chapter from certain competitive bid laws.
