Title
Insurance, insurance fraud, elements of modified, overcharging insurers included, Secs. 27-12A-2, 27-27-26 am'd.
Description

In the 2012 Regular Session, the Legislature enacted Act 2012-370, relating to investments by domestic insurers, and Act 2012-429, relating to insurance fraud.

The purpose of this bill is to enact technical amendments to the above acts to clarify and give effect to the language in two sections of the Code of Alabama 1975.

The bill would amend Section 27-12A-2, Code of Alabama 1975, as enacted by Act 2012-429, providing the definition of insurance fraud, to delete certain language that is not applicable to the code section.

This bill would amend Section 27-27-26, Code of Alabama 1975, as amended by Act 2012-370, relating to domestic insurers, to delete and clarify certain language to correct an error in an amendment.
