Title
Public Authorities, formed from former military installations, competitive bids, requirement that authority bid contracts removed, Sec.11-92B-24 am'd.
Description
<p class="bill_description"> Under existing law, a public authority
incorporated pursuant to Chapter 92B of Title 11,
Code of Alabama 1975, authorizing the formation of
authorities for the development of formed property
that formerly comprised a federal military
installation, is subject to the competitive bid law
in Article 3, Chapter 16 of Title 41, Code of
Alabama 1975</p><p class="bill_description">
This bill would exempt a public authority
formed pursuant to Chapter 92B from this
competitive bid law</p><p class="bill_entitled_an_act"> Relating to public authorities formed pursuant to
Chapter 92B of Title 11, Code of Alabama 1975, for the
development of former federal military installations; to amend
Section 11-92B-24, Code of Alabama 1975, to exempt a public
authority formed pursuant to this chapter from certain
competitive bid laws.
