Title
Blood donations, plasma donations, minors age 18 and older, participation in donation programs, Sec. 26-1-3.1 am'd; Sec. 26-1-3 repealed
Description
<p class="bill_description"> Under existing law, a person who is 17 years
of age or older may donate blood in a voluntary and
noncompensatory blood donation program without the
permission of a parent or guardian</p><p class="bill_description">
This bill would authorize a person who is 18
years of age or older to donate blood in a
compensatory blood donation program or plasma
donation program without the permission of a parent
or guardian and would repeal a nonconforming law</p><p class="bill_entitled_an_act"> To amend Section 26-1-3.1, Code of Alabama 1975, to
authorize persons age 18 years of age or older to donate blood
in a compensatory blood donation program or plasma donation
program without the consent of a parent or guardian; and to
repeal Section 26-1-3, Code of Alabama 1975.
