SB26 speeds up the start of the Tuscaloosa County Road Improvement Commission by making its creation take effect immediately when the amendatory act becomes law.
It changes the timing so the section creating the Tuscaloosa County Road Improvement Commission takes effect immediately upon enactment of this amendatory act. The act still sets July 1, 2016 as the date for when Section 1 becomes effective, and the amendatory act itself becomes effective after it passes and is approved by the Governor. Overall, it moves up the start date for the Commission but does not otherwise change the content of the act.
