Title
Interagency Council for the Prevention of Elder Abuse, Sunset Law Review, continued with modification, Sec. 38-9D-3 am'd.
Description
<p class="bill_description"> Under existing law, termination dates are established for enumerated state agencies. The agencies are periodically reviewed by the Alabama Sunset Committee. After the review process is completed, the committee prepares its recommendations for the agencies to the Legislature in the form of sunset bills which either continue, terminate, or continue with modification each agency reviewed</p><p class="bill_description"> This bill would provide for the continuance of the Alabama Interagency Council for the Prevention of Elder Abuse, with the following changes: To provide that the council shall meet at the call of the chair and to remove the council from regularly scheduled review under the Sunset Law</p><p class="bill_entitled_an_act"> Relating to the Alabama Sunset Law; to continue the existence and functioning of the Alabama Interagency Council for the Prevention of Elder Abuse with certain modifications; to amend Section 38-9D-3, Code of Alabama 1975, so as to provide that the council shall meet at the call of the chair and to repeal Section 38-9D-7, Code of Alabama 1975, to remove the council from regularly scheduled review under the Sunset Law. </p>
