<p class="bill_description"> Under existing law, lotteries and gift enterprises are prohibited</p><p class="bill_description"> This bill would propose an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, to allow Shoals Scholar Dollars, Incorporated, to conduct a raffle to raise funds for college scholarships for residents of Lauderdale County; to allow the Lauderdale County Commission to establish rules regarding the operation of the raffle; to require compliance with the rules established by the Lauderdale County Commission; to allow the commission to examine the raffle at any time and issue cease and desist orders; and to require Shoals Scholar Dollars, Incorporated, to maintain certain records</p><p class="bill_entitled_an_act"> Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, to allow Shoals Scholar Dollars, Incorporated, to conduct a raffle to raise funds for college scholarships for residents of Lauderdale County; to allow the Lauderdale County Commission to establish rules regarding the operation of the raffle; to require compliance with the rules established by the Lauderdale County Commission; to allow the commission to examine the raffle at any time and issue cease and desist orders; and to require Shoals Scholar Dollars, Incorporated, to maintain certain records. </p>
