Title
District Attorneys and circuit clerks, retirement system, Legislature authorized to provide, const. amend.
Description

Under existing law, there is a prohibition against a retirement program for district attorneys and circuit clerks. This bill would propose an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901 to allow the legislature to provide for a retirement program for district attorneys and circuit clerks who are first elected or appointed on or after November 8, 2016.
