Term limits, members of Senate and House of Representatives limited to three consecutive full terms, const. amend.
Description

This bill would propose an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, that would provide that no person may be elected to either house of the Legislature for more than three full terms in each house. The amendment would provide that an election to either the Senate or the House of Representatives in a special election would not be considered a full term of office

To propose an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, to provide that no person may be elected to the House of Representatives for more than three full terms of office, and no person may be elected to the Senate for more than three full terms of office; and that an election to the Senate or an election to the House of Representatives pursuant to a special election would not be considered a full term of office for purposes of this amendment.
