Title

Competitive bids, public works Transportation Department and other agencies, increase the bid guarantee if Dept. of Transportation is awarding authority, Secs. 23-1-2, 39-2-4 am'd.

Description

Under existing law, a bidder on a public works project for the Department of Transportation or other awarding authority is required to file a bid guarantee in the form of either a cashiers's check or a bond payable to the awarding authority but in no event to exceed $10,000.

This bill would increase the amount of the bid guarantee if the awarding authority is the Department of Transportation.
