Title
Competitive bids, public works Transportation Department and other agencies, increase the bid guarantee if Dept. of Transportation is awarding authority, Secs. 23-1-2, 39-2-4 am'd.
Description
<p class="bill_description"> Under existing law, a bidder on a public
works project for the Department of Transportation
or other awarding authority is required to file a
bid guarantee in the form of either a cashiers's
check or a bond payable to the awarding authority
but in no event to exceed $10,000</p><p class="bill_description">
This bill would increase the amount of the
bid guarantee if the awarding authority is the
Department of Transportation</p><p class="bill_entitled_an_act"> To amend Sections 23-1-2 and 39-2-4 of the Code of
Alabama, to increase the amount of the bid guarantee required
to be filed under certain conditions by a bidder on public
works project when the Department of Transportation is the
awarding authority.
