- Description
Under existing law, the Alabama Local Government Training Institute is a separate entity established to provide training and education for members of county commissions. The board of the institute is composed of nine members.
This bill would provide for two additional members on the board of the institute to be appointed by the Board of Directors of the Association of County Commissioners of Alabama. The bill would specify that a quorum of the board would be five members.
This bill would also authorize the board to award certification to county employees and programs meeting criteria established by the board or state agencies.
