- Description
This bill provides the issuance of a validation decal for metal license plates to include both the year of expiration in addition to the month of expiration.
This bill also allows registration receipts to be presented in a tangible or electronic format.
This bill provides dealers that are designated agents with the ability to issue temporary license tags to motor vehicles that are to be permanently licensed in Alabama.
This bill also clarifies that the verification requirement of a state issued identification, or department approved federal identifying number only extends to the initial motor vehicle registration and not to the subsequent renewal of the registration.
