Title
Pistol permits, sheriff authorized to issue to resident of another county, Sec.13A-11-75 am'd.
Description
<p class="bill_description"> Under existing law, a sheriff may issue or
renew a pistol permit to or for any person residing
in the county in which he or she has jurisdiction</p><p class="bill_description">
This bill would allow a sheriff to issue or
renew a pistol permit to or for a person residing
in any county in the state</p><p class="bill_description">
This bill would also provide that the permit
issuing sheriff or the sheriff of the county in
which the permittee resides may revoke a permit and
would require that a duplicate of the pistol permit
wherever issued be delivered to the sheriff of the
county in which the permittee resides</p><p class="bill_entitled_an_act"> To amend Section 13A-11-75, Code of Alabama 1975,
relating to pistol permits, to allow a sheriff to issue or
renew a pistol permit to or for a person residing in any
county; to specify who may revoke a permit; and to require
that a duplicate of the pistol permit wherever issued be
delivered to the sheriff of the county in which the permittee
resides.
