Title
Motor vehicles, oversized vehicle permits, annual commercial wrecker emergency tow permit, provided, Sec. 32-9-29 am'd.
Description
<p class="bill_description"> Under existing law, a person must obtain a permit from the Department of Transportation to move upon the state's public roads a vehicle and its load, the weight, width, length, or height of which exceeds the maximum limit specified by law</p><p class="bill_description"> This bill would authorize the Department of Transportation to issue a permit to allow tow trucks to tow disabled, damaged, abandoned, or wrecked commercial vehicles, including combination vehicles, which together exceed the maximum weight, width, length, or height limits specified by law</p><p class="bill_entitled_an_act"> Relating to motor vehicles; to amend Section 32-9-29, Code of Alabama 1975, to authorize the Department of Transportation to issue an annual commercial wrecker emergency tow permit under certain conditions. </p>
