The License Commissioner keeps these funds to improve services and office operations, including equipment, technology, storage, and related administrative needs. The money cannot be used for salaries or living expenses; it is kept in a segregated county account, expended at the Commissioner’s discretion, audited by the Department of Examiners of Public Accounts, and the records are public; any unused funds carry over to the next year. It does not change other laws governing License Commissioner fees; the act takes effect immediately after the Governor signs it.
