- Judicial Retirement Fund, notice deadline for transferring any creditable service and contributions removed, nonsubstantive technical revisions, Sec. 12-18-110 am'd.
- Description
Under existing law, any member of the Judicial Retirement Fund, who was a member of the Employees' Retirement System of Alabama or the Teachers' Retirement System of Alabama for up to one year prior to becoming a member of the Judicial Retirement Fund, may transfer any creditable service and contributions from his or her accumulated contributions in the Employees' or Teachers' Retirement System, provided that he or she notifies the Board of Control of the Employees' Retirement System within one year after becoming a member of the Judicial Retirement Fund.
This bill would delete the one-year deadline for submitting notice to the board.
This bill would also make nonsubstantive, technical revisions to update the existing code language to current style.
