Title
Teachers' Retirement System, retirees and beneficiaries, receiving benefits on a certain date, one-time lump sum payment, payment in May 2022, funding to be in Education Trust Fund budget for fiscal year commencing in Oct. 1, 2022.
Description
<p class="bill_description"> Under existing law, there is no provision
for retirees and beneficiaries receiving monthly
benefits from the Teachers' Retirement System to
receive a funded one-time lump-sum payment in
addition to their retirement allowances</p><p class="bill_description">
This bill would provide a lump-sum payment
to certain retirees and beneficiaries under the
Teachers' Retirement System</p><p class="bill_entitled_an_act"> Relating to the Teachers' Retirement System; to
provide for a funded one-time lump-sum payment in addition to
the retirement benefits of certain retirees and beneficiaries
of the Teachers' Retirement System conditioned upon the
availability of funds in the Education Trust Fund.
