Title
Teachers' Retirement System, retirees and beneficiaries, receiving benefits on a certain date, one-time lump sum payment, payment in May 2022, funding to be in Education Trust Fund budget for fiscal year commencing in Oct. 1, 2022.
Description
Under existing law, there is no provision for retirees and beneficiaries receiving monthly benefits from the Teachers' Retirement System to receive a funded one-time lump-sum payment in addition to their retirement allowances
This bill would provide a lump-sum payment to certain retirees and beneficiaries under the Teachers' Retirement System
Relating to the Teachers' Retirement System; to provide for a funded one-time lump-sum payment in addition to the retirement benefits of certain retirees and beneficiaries of the Teachers' Retirement System conditioned upon the availability of funds in the Education Trust Fund.
