SB122 increases the Jackson County Sheriff's expense allowance by $15,000 per year now and raises the sheriff’s annual salary by $15,000 per year after the current term, funded from the county’s general fund.
It adds an extra $15,000 per year as the sheriff's expense allowance starting the first day after the act’s effective date, payable monthly from the county general fund. It also increases the sheriff's annual salary by $15,000 per year beginning when the incumbent sheriff’s term ends, payable monthly from the general fund, and at that time Section 1 would be repealed. The act becomes effective immediately after passage and governor approval.
