Title
Volunteer rescue squads, vehicles, permanent registration, one-time fee, Dept. of Revenue to administer
Description

Under existing law, certain vehicles and trailers owned by volunteer rescue squads are exempt from license, registration fees, and ad valorem taxes.

Also, under current law, the Department of Revenue may issue permanent license plates for certain vehicles owned by volunteer fire departments.

This bill would allow the Department of Revenue to issue permanent license plates for certain vehicles owned by volunteer rescue squads.

This bill would also make nonsubstantive, technical revisions to update the existing code language to current style.
