HB222 would let Alabama's Board of Pardons and Paroles share electronic monitoring GPS data and biometric data with local law enforcement during active investigations, under certain circumstances, starting Oct 1, 2025.
During an active investigation, a law enforcement agency may request relevant electronic monitoring GPS data and biometric data from the Board. The Board may share the requested data with the agency. The bill adds a new section (15-22-26.3) to Alabama law and sets an effective date of October 1, 2025.
