HB301 would abolish the office of constable in Choctaw County, effective June 1, 2025.
The bill states that, at the end of the term of any constable serving on June 1, 2025, the constable offices in Choctaw County are abolished for each precinct. These offices are the ones provided for in the Alabama Code under Chapter 23, Title 36. The act becomes effective on June 1, 2025.
