- Description
Under the Constitution of Alabama of 2022, the Legislature has no power to enact laws providing for a lottery or gift enterprise and is instead required to pass laws prohibiting such activities.
This bill would propose an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 2022, to provide that the Legislature, by general law, may authorize, license, tax, and provide for the operation of traditional paper raffles and traditional paper bingo when conducted for noncommercial charitable purposes only.
