- Alabama State House; Legislative Council authorized to contract for demolition of existing building when new state house constructed; disposition of property and materials in building prior to demolition authorized
- Description
This bill would authorize the Legislative Council to contract for the demolition of the existing building designated as the Alabama State House, upon the completion of the new Alabama State House, and to provide for the disposition of property and materials that are attached or affixed to the building.
This bill would also authorize the Clerk of the House of Representatives and Secretary of the Senate to sell chairs, desks, and other items from the respective chambers which will not be relocated to the new Alabama State House.
